| The Tibetan Refugee Charitable Trust Patron: His Holiness the Dalai Lama || Registered Charity No: 294761
The community of Tibetan refugees living in Britain began their sponsorship scheme in 1978. As a community they work to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Tibet, to promote understanding the friendship beyond the community, and to help relieve poverty amongst Tibetans in exile. In 1986, the Tibetan Refugee Charitable Trust was registered in the UK to raise funds for the education of young Tibetans in India and Nepal. Many deprived Tibetans have already benefited from the scheme and have gone on to further education. But there are thousands more children still hoping for your support.
