You can make a real difference by sponosoring a Tibetan child to attend school and provide him/her with some general education in an environment of traditional Tibetan culture. The sponsorship costs no more than £15 a month.

Your money will be paid to the school to cover your child's education, food, healthcare and lodging. If a child is living at home, some of the money is given to the child's parents to buy uniforms and books etc .

Children would normally start school at the age of five, but in many cases they start later because first they have to find a sponsor. Children are normally sponsored until they finish school at 18 years old. You are free to withdraw at your circumstances change. On the other hand you can continue sponsoring if your child goes on to college. Sponsorship of a college costs differs from college to college.

Yes, the Department of Education will collect reports from various schools and will send to us and the sponsorship secretary will forward to the respective sponsors.

Yes, your encouragement will be very important. Your child may come from a poor family stuggling to survive and not able to give each child all the support they need. Your child will write to you too. All letters are sent through the Department of Education who then send them on to the shcool. You will be sent details of how to get in touch with your child as soon as you have committed to sponsorship.

The details of the kids for sponsorship come straight from Department of Education, Tibetan Goverment in Exile, Dharamsala, India. Every single fact and remarks about the kid is collected by the kid's School and sent to the Department of Education. They forward the details on to us and we put them here. If you would like to see the kid's profile before you decide to sponsor, please email us and we will send you a scanned copy in the email.

Once you have decided to sponsor a child of your choice, you fill in your details & payment method and submit the form. You don't enter any card details . Once the form is submitted, a copy of the sponsorship details will automatically be sent to yourself and to Mrs Kunsang Chodon, the Sponsorship Secretary of the Tibetan Community in Brtain. She will then contact you personally via phone or email to seal the sponsorship in terms of setting up Direct Debit or writing Cheques. Once this is completed, your child's detail will remain on the site but the sponsorship link will be taken off so that other children will get opportunity.
