Tsunami Appeal Success

TCB successfully raised a total of £521.50. Thanks to you all!

The TCB council decided to send the £521.50 to Emergency and Relief Work ( India ) for the purchase of 12 sewing machines for the Tsunami survivors in India so that these people get the opportunity to learn new skills after this tragedy.

If you still want to donate for the purchase of additional sewing machines, please send the donation to Thupten Tenzin ( TCB Treasurer- 163 Carlingford road, London N15 3ET) before 10 th May 2005 .

On Saturday 26 th February 2005 , the Tibetan Community in Britain organized a concert in North London as part of its solidarity campaign to aid the victims of Asian Tsunami Disasters. This musical event raised just over £200, a sum that contributed to the grand total of £521.50. Well done for taking part and organising this!
